Workfields
Workfields are the variables that you can use in your decision table. They are the columns in your decision table. You can add, edit, and remove workfields.
Default workfields
When you create a new decision table, it comes with a set of default workfields. You can edit or remove these workfields if you want.
Workfield types
Each workfield has a type that determines the data that it can hold. The available types are:
- Text
- Number
- Boolean
- Date
- Time
- Date and Time
- List
- Range
Workfield names

Workfield properties
You can set properties for each workfield. The available properties are:
- Required: Indicates if the workfield is required.
- Unique: Indicates if the workfield must have a unique value.
- Read-only: Indicates if the workfield is read-only.
- Hidden: Indicates if the workfield is hidden.
Workfield validation
You can add validation rules to workfields. The available validation rules are:
- Required
- Minimum length
- Maximum length
- Minimum value
- Maximum value
- Regular expression
- Custom validation rule
Workfield Operations
Each workfield has a set of operations that you can perform on it. Available operations can be viewed at Workfield Operations.
Workfield calculations
You can add calculations to workfields. Calculations are rules that specify how the value of a workfield is calculated based on the values of other workfields.
